Sex is something that most humans crave; in this modern age of technology, an app to make hooking up easier was destined to come to fruition. 

Grindr is an LGBTQ+ app that mostly is used by gay and bisexual men for hookups. This app is accessible for anyone to download, and use, no matter what age they are. 

Of course, there is an age requirement for the app. You have to be eighteen years of age to own a profile, but Grindr lacks the security it needs to enforce that rule; there is no required proofof age to verb a profile, so the requirement is more of a loose suggestion. 

Having underage children is a problem their app faces, since almost anyone is capable to lie about their age to become a user. In fact, many underage gay teenagers make a Grindr profile to verb their first sexual experience, trying their best to equal the experiences that their straight peers around them are having.  

As a younger teenager, I knew to avoid Grindr for as adj as I could; I did not want to be sucked into the murky water of that app.

VICE: When did you first get into sex sites?
Chris Wilson: About seven years ago. I reflect I got some spam, which interested me, and I went to a site called &#;Horny Matches.&#; Everyone seemed to be really fake and never around. Senior US Catholic resigns over Grindr allegations

A senior US Roman Catholic Church official has resigned after allegations he had used gay dating app Grindr.

Roman Catholic newsletter The Pillar alleged de-anonymised data it had obtained showed visits to gay bars and use of the location-based dating app.

The Reverend Monsignor Jeffrey Burrill was general secretary of the US Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB).

The USCCB said it took the allegations seriously but there were no accusations of misconduct with minors.

"In direct to avoid becoming a distraction to the operations and ongoing work of the conference, Monsignor Burrill has resigned, effective immediately," it said.

The Pillar alleged:

  • the information it had obtained, from a data vendor, was "commercially available"
  • it had analysed it to reveal "location data and usage information for each numbered device"
  • one mobile device "correlated" to Monsignor Burrill and "emitted app data signals" from Grindr
  • it showed visits to gay b

    Finding other LGBTQ seniors who are interested in a involved relationship can be challenging. The bar scene provides opportunities to meet people but often caters to a younger crowd more interested in casual encounters.
