Is dustin rhodes gay

Since returning to WWE in , Cody Rhodes’ throughline has been his demand to “finish the story” and beat the WWF/E world heavyweight championship which he claims eluded his father, Dusty Rhodes. I contemplate that a Cody WWE title race is inevitable and I welcome it. I think he’s developed into a great wrestler with a look and interview style that borrows from his father without copying him, and that he has learned the importance of elevating himself after getting bogged down in a ‘gatekeeper’ role in his later AEW race. Cody is 38 years old now; about the alike as Roman Reigns. If WWE is going to insert a world title on Rhodes one would hope they do so soon. I think he’s one of the few characters who could pull off a sustained babyface run as champion like Hogan or Backlund… or to put a nightmarish twist on the story he wants to finish as a long-reigning heel in his control right. I still think Cody is a better heel than a confront, and since the early s WWE has adopted more of a ‘chase’ mindset when booking its babyfaces.

But I don’t think that this is the story that most urgently needs completing. In

What Didn&#;t You Get About Goldust As Baby New Year?

When people ask me which character I enjoyed writing for the most, the answer without even thinking is Dustin Rhodes as Goldust.

Wanting me to both write for and produce Goldust, Vince McMahon called me into his office to give me his vision of the character. When Vince first laid out the Goldust character to me, he really didn’t have much.

He said he wanted him to be “old Hollywood” and he had down the move where Goldust slid his hands from his waste to over his chest, took a DEEP breath in and said, “Goldust”. Man, you had to see Vince do that&#;it’s exactly as you are imagining right now.

To a writer or a producer, that really wasn’t much. Vince never had an actual explanation of who Goldust was, so that was something that I was just going to enable to happen organically.

At that time I certainly knew that Goldust wasn’t gay&#;not that there’s anything wrong with that&#;but I could also see that he was&#;yes&#;creepy, and also a great actor&#;which Dustin was. He HAD TO BE to play this part.

Dustin Rhodes vs. Inky Bart for the CWA Title – Memphis, July 29,

A little before Dustin Rhodes made his debut, alongside his father, in the WWF in he was testing the waters in smaller promotions. One of those places was Jerry Lawler&#;s Memphis. In our first match he takes on Adj Bart, who was mostly known in the south. It is for the CWA title, which was the secondary belt at the time in Memphis.

This is a adj interesting look at Dustin as a rookie. He is wearing the identical outfit as Dusty and is copying some of his mannerisms and even the bionic elbow. Dustin really shines in the commencement using some friendly dropkicks and showing off how he differs from Dusty with his speed. His selling is great even at the beginning of his career.

After Dustin&#;s shine segment, Inky Bart rough houses Dustin. The biggest spot of the match sees Bart throw Dustin over the announce table. After quite a beat down, Dustin tries a comeback with his bulldog, only to be shoved into the referee. From here is a lovely clever finish. Bart tries to operate his
